One of those paintings that evolved over the course of many months. Crucifixion, Yosemite Sequoia, mother and child, Virgin of Guadalupe; and a classical nude are all surrounding the tree of life..

The Luna moth has been a symbol of the resurrection, as seen by the figure in meditation at the base of the great tree.

Beautiful Monhegan Island has been a magnet for artists since the 19th Century. I have visited the Island of Rockwell Kent, Jamie Wyeth; and Robert Henri. more than a few times.

My old friend Guy Corriero drew me to the Island just off the coast north of Portland.
