Beautiful Monhegan Island has been a magnet for artists since the 19th Century. I have visited the Island of Rockwell Kent, Jamie Wyeth; and Robert Henri. more than a few times.
My old friend Guy Corriero drew me to the Island just off the coast north of Portland.
